Technical Information
Product Description

A high performance, water repellent & anti fungus latex modified cementitious tile grout. The product is composed of a blend of special hydraulic binders, graded silica, special polymers, additives, water repellent agent, anti fungus agent mixed with stable & UV resistant colouring pigments.

It has a high resistance for water absorption which reduces the dirt accumulation in the grout. Anti fungus / anti bacteria additive in the mix, blocks the generation of bacteria and mould.

Advantages
  • Anti-fungus and anti-bacterial
  • Ideal for internal and external joints
  • Crack free, non-shrinkage grout with high abrasion, compression and flexural strength
  • Uniform and free of staining grout colors which are resistant to ultraviolet rays and to weather effect
  • Smooth, compact finished surface with very low water absorbance, which maintains less chance of grout color change due to dirt absorbance
  • Wide range of color selection
  • Very Low VOC, Asbestos Free.
  • Formulated to suit Middle East conditions

Instructions for use

Surface preparation

Make sure that the tiles adhesive is totally set before applying FUGACOLOR grout. The joints must be clean, free of dust. Clean the joints between tiles and brush before grouting.

Mixing

n Mix 1.5– 1.75 Liters of cold, potable water (or GIUNTOLASTIC instead of water as needed), in the mixing bucket and add slowly 5kg bag of FUGACOLOR under continuous mixing until a uniform lump free consistency mix is achieved.

n Mix 6.0 – 7.0 Liters of cold, potable water (or GIUNTOLASTIC instead of water as needed), in the mixing bucket and add slowly 20kg bag of FUGACOLOR under continuous mixing until a uniform lump free consistency mix is achieved.

Application

After mixing, let the material rest for about 10 minutes, then remix and spread using a rubber grout float.

Let the product set for about 20 minutes and then clean with a damp sponge. After the complete hardening, clean all the surface of the tile with a dry cloth.

Cleaning

All used tools should be cleaned with water before the product cures.

Recommendations

n Do not apply FUGACOLOR in rainy weather, high winds and sand storms.

n Do not apply on surface that has temperature less than +5⁰C.

n During summer season, working area should be covered to prevent the direct sun effects. Keep equipment cool and use cool water.

n The product should not be exposed to moving water during application.

n Apply FUGACOLOR when the joint is totally dry

n In case of very high absorbent tiles or high temperature, dampen the joints with clean water.

n It is recommended to grout the joints after 24 hours of tile fixing.

n Since temperature and humidity conditions affect the final curing, it is advisable to allow extended periods of cure when temperatures are low and/ or relative humidity is below 70%.
