Product Description

UREAPRIME PU1 is a single component, 100% solids, UV stable urethane primer. It is specifically formulated to be used as a primer that can be applied over damp concrete.

UREAPRIME PU1 cures by chemical cross-linking to produce a primer for long term bonding. It is an excellent choice for use as a sealer and vapor block because of it’s film forming properties.

UREAPRIME PU1 is available in 4 Liter Packing, 19-Liter Pails, and 200-Liter Drums

Shelf Life & Storage

UREAPRIME PU1 contains chemically active materials which will react with water, alcohols, amines and other compounds. After each use, cap container with dry air or nitrogen.

UREAPRIME PU1 should be stored in original, unopened factory containers, under normal storage conditions of 15° C to 27° C. In these conditions, prouct shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.

Application Information
Instructions for use

Mixing

UREAPRIME PU1 is a single component product, therefore no mixing is necessary.

Application

Apply UREAPRIME PU1 by brush, roller, or squeegee.

Drying/Curing

UREAPRIME PU1 will dry to the touch in less than two hours after application in climatic conditions of 25°C and relative humidity falls of 50%. The film remains reactive for up to 24 hours after application.

Cleaning

Clean tools immediately after use.

Surface Preparation

The surface of the substrate shall be sound, clean and uncontaminated.

This preparation shall be such as to leave a sound expose surface free from dust, loose particles and any deleterious matter. If the surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base.

New concrete or cementitious surfaces should be at least 28 days old and have moisture content not exceeding 5%. Old or existing surface should be refurbished mechanically to ensure clear and sound substrate.

Health & Safety

All body parts should be covered and activated charcoal respirators or forced-air breathing apparatus are necessary for safe application of this product. Keep uncured product away from children at all times. All personnel should read and understand the safety recommendations stated in the Material Safety Data Sheet .
