Product Description

ARMATUREA AL is flexible polyurethane that can be applied on a variety of substrates as a stand-alone coating and specifically developed for use as a flexible topcoat over aromatic polyurea.

ARMATUREA AL can be utilized in open areas that expect full exposure to sunlight as it is UV and weathering resistant.

Shelf Life & Storage

ARMATUREA AL must be stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space and away from any source of heat or ignition. Containers must be kept tightly closed.

Application Information
Instructions for use

Application Conditions

The substrate temperature should be 5°- 25°C and relative
humidity approximately 50%. Surface temperature should be
at least 3°C above dew point. Good ventilation is required in
confined areas to ensure adequate curing conditions.

Application Methods

Spray application is recommended using Air assisted or
Airless spray equipment. Brush or roller application is
recommended using solvent resistant brushes or short-nap
rollers. Once the material is mixed, immediately apply using
any of the above techniques ensuring a continuous coating of
uniform thickness. Two coats are recommended to obtain the
required protective level. An overcoat interval of 24 hours
should be observed. Should the overcoat interval be
exceeded, light abrasion and solvent wiping of the cured
coating is recommended prior to application of further coats.

Cleaning

Clean equipment immediately after use. Cured product may
be disposed of without restriction. The un-cured isocyanate
and resin portions should be disposed of in accordance with
local regulations.

Surface Preparation

The surface of the concrete shall be sound, clean and uncontaminated.

This preparation shall be such as to leave a sound exposed concrete surface free from dust, loose particles and any deleterious matter. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base.

New concrete or cementitious surfaces should be at least 28 days old and have moisture content not exceeding 5%. Old or existing surface should be refurbished mechanically to ensure clear and sound substrate.

Health & Safety

All body parts should be covered and activated charcoal respirators or forced-air breathing apparatus are necessary for safe application of this product. Keep uncured product away from children at all times. All personnel should read and understand the safety recommendations stated in the Material Safety Data Sheet.
