Consumption:

Consumption is according to joints depth and width and the size of tiles. Accurate quantity of consumption can be calculated using following formula:

Formula:    A + B x W x D x 1.59 = Kg./m²
                    A x B

W = width of joint (mm)
D = thickness of tile (mm)
A = length of tile (mm)
B = width of tile (mm)

Instructions for use

Surface preparation

The below surface, tiling mortar must have set sufficiently hard. Remove excess adhesive or mortar from the joint area so that 2/3 of the depth of the tile is left available for grouting.

Grout joints and tile surface should be swept or vacuum cleaned. It should be free of standing water, dust, dirt and foreign material.

Mixing

The base and hardener components should be individually stirred to re-disperse any settlement. Transfer part B into the can of Part A and mix thoroughly using a slow speed electric drill with a paddle attachment, taking care to avoid air entrapment which cause pinholes in the grout. Scrape the sides and bottom of the can to assure complete mixing until a uniform consistency and color is obtained. Do not overmix as this will cause the epoxy to flash set.

Application

Allow the tiles to set firmly before grouting (1 to 2 days). Pour the mixed grout onto area to be grouted. Spread grout into open joints of tile or brickwork starting at the lowest areas, making sure grout joints are completely full and then working to the highest areas.

Using a hard rubber float, work grout into the joint and strike excess grout from the tile faces in a squeegee fashion. Be certain to pass over joints on a 45º angle so as to not disturb the grout that has already flowed into joints. Remove all excess epoxy from the surface of the tile with the rubber float before it begins to set by turning the float perpendicular to the tile surface and skimming it diagonally off the tile surface.

Clean the remaining grout off the surface of the tile by making circular movements with a coarse sponge pad and a little water. Wipe off the resulting slurry with a soft sponge. Frequently rinse the sponge in clean water while cleaning the tile surface.

Do not begin cleaning the surface before NEOFIL POXY WB has started to set. For final cleaning, wait for at least 3 hours but no more than 6 hours to remove the remaining film from the surface with a soft sponge.

Cleaning

Tools, gloves and application equipment should be cleaned immediately with hot water, while material is still wet. Once the material gets hardened, mechanical removed will be necessary.
