Polyurethane Primer
PRIMER PU is a single pack, modified Polyurethane primer designed to improve adhesion between a large variety of coatings and substrates. It acts as a sealer on porous substrates such as concrete and improves adhesion to difficult substrates such as non-ferrous metals.
Appearance | Liquid |

Mixing
Stir PRIMER PU thoroughly before use. Product is ready to use.
Application
PRIMER PU is usually applied in one coat, using brush, roller or air brush spray gun, homogeneously covering the substrate. In certain cases, for complete sealing of substrate, a second coat may be necessary. Allow the primer to become tack-free. Over coating with the selected Colmef PU Resin System can be done within maximum 6 hours of application of the primer.
Cleaning
Clean tools with SOLVENTE 10 promptly before material hardens. Cured material must be mechanically removed.
Recommendations
All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material, efflorescence, laitance, curing compounds, dirt, oil and grease.
New concrete or cementitious surfaces should be allowed to cure and have moisture content not exceeding 5%.
In case of old concrete floors use mechanical methods like grinding or blasting in order to provide a suitable clean surface.
Expansion joints shall be repaired using EPOMORT HS, a High strength solvent free epoxy mortar.
Metal surfaces must be perfectly cleaned up to the white metal by sand blasting, and then treated with one coat of PRIMER PU before the oxidation process begins again.
Avoid contact with skin & eyes. Protective clothing such as gloves & safety goggles should be worn during application. Treat any splashes to the skin or eyes with fresh water immediately.
Should the product be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting, but call for medical assistance immediately. Ensure adequate ventilation at site and avoid inhalation of vapors.
