Solvent Based Mould and Shutter Release Agent
DISARMANTE S is a single component, solvent based mould and shutter release agent. It provides a chemical release action that is superior to that provided normal oil based release agents.

Storage:
DISARMANTE S has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened covered and dry place. Avoid exposing the drums to sunlight. Extreme temperatures cause the product to deteriorate.

Mould and Shutter Preparation
All mould and shutter surfaces must be cleaned from deposits of rust, concrete, oil and other materials.
It can be applied over fresh or old formwork.
Application
DISARMANTE S can be applied by brush, roller or mould oil sprayer. In most cases, spray application is recommended.
If mould oil sprayer is used, the nozzle is atomized to give a light and uniform coating. Excessive application should be avoided.
Non-absorbent surfaces require a single application. New, unsealed, timber surfaces should be recoated if delay in use of the mould leads to absorption of the release agent into the timber.
However, if DISARMANTE S is overly applied, excess materials should be allowed to drain and be carefully removed from the bottom of the mould by a cloth or sponge. Pools of DISARMANTE S should not be allowed to dry. Otherwise, surface retardation of the concrete will occur.
The surface should be re-coated depending on the porosity and texture of the mould surface.
After Stripping and Demoulding
The formwork and mould should be brushed or wiped clean of any excess dust prior to reapplication for the next use of the mould.
Repair of Moulds
After extensive use, surface of moulds will require repair. It should be cleaned of all residue and traces of DISARMANTE S to ensure proper adhesion of the repair material. The mould shall be cleaned by detergent followed by rinsing thoroughly with water.
Recommendation
Application should be done in thin layers.
Cleaning
Equipment and tools used should be cleaned promptly with water.
DISARMANTE S is a non-toxic material. However, inhalation of spray should be avoided and it is advisable to wear goggles when spraying. In case of eye contact, flush with water for few minutes. If irritation continues, consult a doctor. If product is ingested, do not induce vomiting, seek medical attention immediately.
