Application Information
Instructions for use

Surface Preparation
The surface should be sound, clean, dry and free from loose and flaking materials, efflorescence, laitance, curing compounds, dirt, oil, grease or other contaminants. Mechanical methods like grinding or grit/captive blasting in order to provide a suitable profiled open textured surface is strongly recommended. New concrete or cementitious surfaces should be at least 28 days old and have moisture content not exceeding 5%. Old or existing floor should be refurbished mechanically to ensure clear sound substrate.
Surface irregularities and blow holes shall be repaired with EPOFINISH C, a solvent free epoxy resin repair mortar. Allow the applied material to harden. After all preparation is complete, ensure dust is removed from the surface using an industrial vacuum.
Expansion joints shall be repaired using EPOMORT HS, a High strength solvent free epoxy mortar.
New concrete or cementitious surfaces should be allowed to cure and have moisture content not exceeding 5%. Old or existing floor should be refurbished mechanically to ensure clear sound substrate.

Mixing
For preparation of product, pour component B (hardener) into component A (resin) and mix carefully with electric mixer at low number of turns, till obtaining a homogeneous mix. It is always recommended to mix a complete kit at a time.

Application
Apply the product with a brush or roller or squeegee in its pure state at a rate of 6-8m²/Liter per coat. This rate might vary depending on surface conditions. The primer must be well scrubbed into the substrate to ensure full coverage. Allow the primer to cure (8-12 hrs) before applying subsequent coats. If the primed surface is not overcoated within 24 hours, a fresh coat of primer has to be applied again.
For metal supports it is necessary to apply PRIMER POXY PU as soon as possible after the sandblasting in order to avoid the oxidation process start again.

Cleaning
Clean tools with SOLVENTE 10 promptly before material hardens. Cured material must be mechanically removed.

Recommendations

  • Don’t apply the product with imminent rain
  • PRIMER POXY PU should not be applied on asphalt floor and PVC tiles.
