Application Information
Instructions for use

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material, efflorescence, laitance, curing compounds, dirt, oil and grease. New concrete or cementitious surfaces should be allowed to cure and have moisture content not exceeding 5%. In case of old concrete floors use mechanical methods like grinding or blasting in order to provide a suitable clean surface. Expansion joints shall be repaired using EPOMORT HS, a High strength solvent free epoxy mortar.

Metal surfaces must be perfectly cleaned up to the white metal by sand blasting, and then treated with one coat of PRIMER PU before the oxidation process begins again.

Stir PRIMER PU thoroughly before use. Product is ready to use.

PRIMER PU is usually applied in one coat, using brush, roller or air brush spray gun, homogeneously covering the substrate. In certain cases, for complete sealing of substrate, a second coat may be necessary. Allow the primer to become tack-free. Over coating with the selected Colmef PU Resin System can be done within maximum 6 hours of application of the primer.

Clean tools with SOLVENTE 10 promptly before material hardens. Cured material must be mechanically removed.

  • PRIMER PU should not be applied on asphalt floor and PVC tiles
  • PRIMER PU should not be applied on the surface that has greater than 4% maximum moisture content
