Superior Quality Spatter Dash Bond Coating
A cement based premixed product with exceptional performance and strong bond with polystyrene (insulation board, structural block and on masonry) which does not require multiple coats.
DASHBOND STR can also be applied directly on smooth concrete walls and ceiling (without opting to roughen the surface by hacking it or even if the concrete contains micro-silica) to serve as a rough scratch coat before applying the cement plaster.
DASHBOND STR is suitable as a base coat on precast, cement block, and conventional buildings.
Packaging:
DASHBOND STR is supplied in 25 and 50kg bags.
Consumption:
Up to 20 m2 per 50kg / 1.7 mm depending on the method of application and surface condition.
Storage:
Store in dry covered place in the original closed bags. In these conditions, the product shelf life is 12 months from production date.

Surface preparation
Remove dust, loose particles, grease and traces of foreign materials which may affect the adhesion.
Remove all traces of curing compound films and shuttering oil. Do not use paint remover or solvent to clean the surface.
Moisten the concrete surface or the AAC Block wall with clean water before applying DASHBOND STR. Running water on the surface should be allowed to drain prior to application.
Repair damage, dents and voids in the EPS substrate with an appropriate expanded insulation prior to applying DASHBOND STR. Do not attempt to make repairs with DASHBOND STR or anything other than expanded insulation.
Mixing
Add the content of DAHSBOND STR bag into a container of 10.5-11 Liters of clean water. Mix until a uniform, lump free consisting mix is achieved.
For mixing process, a slow speed drill (200 -300 rpm) fitted with a suitable paddle is recommended. Let the composition stands for nearly 5 minutes and remix again.
Application
Apply the mixture using a suitable spraying unit or with Tyrolean machine manually till you reach the required thickness (2 - 3 mm).
Composition
DASHBOND STR consists mainly of Portland cement, special high strength hydraulic binders, aggregate and special chemical additives to achieve a high strength adhesion with water resistance and crack free coat and can be used over an approved drainage and ventilation cavity, cement-based breathable mineral plasters, alkali resistant fibre-glass mesh and assorted PVC flashings and trims.
Curing
The sprayed coat should be cured for a minimum of 2 days by keeping the entire sprayed area wet all day.
Cleaning
Tools and equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use. Hardened materials should be mechanically removed.
Recommendations
DASHBOND STR is a cement-based product.
During application, wear appropriate protective clothing, goggles, gloves and respiratory equipment if necessary.
In case of contact with skin, rinse with water and again wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice accordingly.
If ingested, obtain medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
